दुर्गियाना मंदिर
Also known as the Lakshmi Narayan Temple, it is the premier Hindu temple in Amritsar. It is a symbol of Hindu resurgence in Punjab and was inaugurated by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya in 1921.
Mythology
The temple derives its name from Goddess Durga. According to local belief, this is the spot where Luv and Kush (the sons of Lord Rama) bound Hanuman to a tree after capturing the Ashwamedha horse.
