3. Chhera Pahanra

   The Gajapati king ritually sweeps the chariot platforms. This moment is loved because it shows that all are servants before Jagannath.

4. Chariot pulling

   The chariots move along the Bada Danda toward Gundicha Temple. Pulling the rope is treated as a blessing where permitted, but safe crowd conduct comes first.

5. Gundicha stay

   Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra stay at Gundicha Temple for several days. Local traditions include darshan, bhog, and Hera Panchami observances.

6. Bahuda Yatra and Niladri Bije

   The return journey brings the deities back toward the main temple. Suna Besha and Niladri Bije complete the festival sequence in Puri's traditional calendar.
