Adi Shankaracharya — Panchakshara Stotra
The Shiva Panchakshara Stotra by Adi Shankaracharya meditates on each of the five sacred syllables of 'Namaḥ Śivāya' (Na, Ma, Shi, Va, Ya) — the Panchakshara mantra. Each verse maps one syllable to specific attributes of Shiva, exploring how the entire cosmic Shiva-reality is encoded within this five-syllable mantra. The phalashruti promises that reciting it before Shiva leads to the attainment of Shivaloka.
