Mahanarayana Upanishad (Krishna Yajurveda — Taittiriya Aranyaka 10)
The Narayana Suktam, from the Mahanarayana Upanishad of the Krishna Yajurveda, is the primary Vedic hymn identifying Narayana as the Supreme Brahman. Its famous declaration — 'nārāyaṇa paraṃ brahma tattvaṃ nārāyaṇaḥ paraḥ' (Narayana is supreme Brahman; Narayana is the supreme reality) — forms the metaphysical foundation of all Vaishnava theology. It closes with the Ashtakshara mantra 'Om Namo Narayanaya' — the eight-syllable supreme mantra of the Sri Vaishnava tradition.
