Taittiriya Aranyaka 10 (Krishna Yajurveda)
The Mantra Pushpam (The Flower-Mantra) is a Vedic prose-mantra from the Taittiriya Aranyaka recited at the close of every major puja in the south Indian tradition as the culminating offering — the 'pushpam' (flower) that crowns all worship. It proceeds through a series of cosmic identifications: the 'flower of waters' is the moon; the 'flower of fire' is the sun; the 'flower of yajna' is Soma — progressively linking ritual acts to cosmic processes. The famous section on the waters ('Yo'pāṃ puṣpaṃ veda') is one of the most chanted Vedic passages in contemporary temple worship.
