Vighnahar or Vighneshwar is the seventh Ashtavinayak. Ganesha is worshipped here as the destroyer of obstacles (Vighna). The temple is famous for its Deepamalas (stone pillar lamps) and golden dome.

Shri Vighnahar Temple, Ozar is a Hindu sacred place in Ozar, Pune, Maharashtra, connected with Lord Ganesha (Vighnahar/Vighneshwar). The temple is centered on Ganesha worship, so devotees commonly connect the visit with auspicious beginnings, obstacle removal, modak or durva offerings, and family prayer.
King Abhinandana performed a sacrifice without offering any share to Indra. An angry Indra created the demon Vighnasura to destroy the sacrifice and wreak havoc. Sage Vishwamitra prayed to Ganesha to intervene. Ganesha defeated Vighnasura. The demon pleaded for mercy and promised only to dwell where Ganesha is not worshipped. He asked Ganesha to take his name as a prefix, hence 'Vighneshwar' (Lord of Vighna).
Major observances connected with this profile include Bhadrapada Utsav (August–September), Magha Utsav (January–February), Kartik Purnima (October–November). During these periods, devotees should expect heavier crowds, longer queues, and a stronger emphasis on aarti, utsav, and local temple customs.
A useful visit plan begins with the darshan window, then works backward through route, footwear and bag rules, offering guidelines, queue options, and local transport from Ozar. For older shrines and high-crowd temples, early morning and non-festival weekdays usually give devotees more time for quiet prayer.
For devotional preparation, visitors can keep the practice simple: learn the main deity's name, carry only permitted offerings, observe modest dress, and close the visit with a short mantra, pradakshina, or dana where appropriate. This keeps temple travel connected to sadhana rather than only sightseeing.
