विभाष मंदिर (कापालिनी), तामलुक
Approximate timings; Tamluk is a town with better-documented temple access than rural Shakti Peeths. Verify current timings locally.
Vibhasha (also called Kapalini) is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, located at Tamluk — the ancient port city of Tamralipti — in East Medinipur district. Sati's left ankle (Vama Gulpha) is believed to have fallen here. The goddess is known both as Vibhasha ("Splendour" or "Brilliance") and as Kapalini (the skull-bearing goddess, a fierce Tantric form). The presiding Bhairava is Sarvananda ("Joy of All"). The site is among the most historically significant of all the Bengal Shakti Peethas, given Tamluk's extraordinary ancient heritage.
