हजार स्तंभ मंदिर (रुद्रेश्वर स्वामी)
Built in 1163 AD by Kakatiya king Rudra Deva, it is a masterpiece of Kakatiya architecture. It is a Trikutalayam (three shrines) dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, and Surya. Shiva is the presiding deity, facing east.
Mythology
The temple is deeply connected to the rise of the great Kakatiya dynasty, who were ardent devotees of Lord Shiva. It represents their zenith in art, engineering, and devotion.
