मनसा देवी मंदिर
Mansa Devi is a prominent Siddh Peetha, meaning it is a place where desires (Mansa) are fulfilled. Along with Chandi Devi and Maya Devi, it completes the triangle of Siddh Peethas in Haridwar.
Mythology
The Goddess is believed to have emerged from the mind (Mansa) of the sage Kashyapa. She is considered the sister of the Nag (serpent) Vasuki. Devotees tie threads to the branches of a tree in the temple to get their wishes fulfilled, and untie a thread once it comes true.
